A content calendar that doesn't reinvent itself every post.
BooBoo sells baby clothing and needed a steady stream of Instagram and Facebook content that felt consistent — not a new visual identity every week. The brief was to build a small cast of illustrated characters and a shared color and pattern system flexible enough to carry product pushes, safety messaging and occasion posts without ever looking off-brand.
A cast of characters, reused everywhere.
- Custom illustrated characters — a sleeping baby on the moon, "Prince of Dreams" the penguin, "Happisaurus" the dinosaur, and a bandaged-cotton elephant — each reusable across different post types.
- USP-driven posts (100% cotton, no harmful chemicals) that still read as on-brand rather than pure advertising.
- Occasion content — Father's Day, Sinhala New Year — built into the same visual system instead of looking bolted on.
- A consistent background language — hand-drawn doodle scribbles, cloud and star motifs, a two-tone palette — tying every post back to the same brand world at a glance.
- Product photography of the BodySuit packaging and garments, dropped into the same doodle backgrounds and palette for posts that needed to sell the product itself.
Consistency you can see from a distance.
Scroll the grid and it should read as one brand before you've read a single word — that was the actual test, not just how each post looked individually.
Product news and pure brand-feel posts, same visual language.
Some posts had to sell a specific feature — no harmful chemicals, 100% cotton. Others just needed to feel warm and reassuring to a new parent. Same characters, same palette, different job.
Product photography, styled to match the same brand world.
Not every post is a launch moment for a specific pack — some just need to sell the product itself. For those, we shot the BodySuit packaging and garments directly, then built the same doodle backgrounds, color palette and "Now available in the market" messaging around the photography so it still reads as one feed alongside the illustrated posts.
