From a simple website to the digital engine behind Playdium.

Playdium's site started as a straightforward homepage for Colombo's premier indoor entertainment center. As the business grew, so did the ask — e-gift cards, arcade card top-ups, membership sign-ups and the backend systems to run them. We've kept building alongside Playdium ever since.

More than a brochure site — a platform Playdium could run on.

Playdium is Colombo's premier indoor entertainment center at One Galle Face Mall — Brunswick league-standard bowling, South Asia's first Hologate VR, an arcade floor, bumper cars, karaoke, a kids zone and the Champions Table sports bar & café, all under one roof. The site needed to carry that same energy while handling real transactions — e-gift cards, arcade card top-ups and membership purchases — for an audience ranging from kids and families to staff and corporate clients organising events.

An arcade-energy site that keeps pace with the business.

  • An arcade-inspired homepage — Playdium's colours, energy and playful character carried through the design, with usability kept front and centre for a genuinely mixed audience.
  • A streamlined membership purchase flow — name, contact and ID details, a passport-style photo upload and a clear fee summary, with as few steps as possible between visitor and purchase.
  • A step-by-step e-gift card flow — select a card, choose an amount, pay, laid out as three clearly marked stages rather than one long form.
  • A site that keeps evolving — since launch we've added, refined and removed features as Playdium's priorities changed, rather than leaving it as a one-time build.
  • Fully responsive across devices — the same booking and purchase flows need to work equally well for a parent on a phone and a corporate client on a laptop.

Real payments, not just a contact form.

Membership sign-up is a real transaction — enter your details, upload a photo, see the exact annual fee, and pay through Genie Business (Dialog) without leaving the flow. Behind it we built the backend to match: membership sign-up and management, payment tracking, automated receipts and automated customer email notifications, so every purchase closes itself out without manual follow-up.

E-gift cards, broken into three steps anyone can follow.

Buying a gift card moves through three marked stages — select a card, choose the amount and quantity, then pay — instead of one dense form. It's paired with tracking on our end for every card issued, so the simple customer-facing flow is backed by the order data Playdium's team actually needs to manage it.

Playdium inquiry form for parties and corporate events

Kids, families, tourists and corporates — on the same site.

Alongside the arcade and bowling audience, Playdium runs parties, birthdays and corporate team-building events, so the site needed a dedicated inquiry path for group and event bookings — not just an e-commerce flow. It sits next to the consumer-facing features so staff can pick up event leads without digging through a generic contact page.

An ongoing partnership, not a one-time build.

Our work with Playdium goes past the site itself. We manage their business email systems, supported the brand's launch campaign and social media content with promotional videos and graphics, and were involved in storefront branding and launch-event visuals before the doors opened. We continue to work with Playdium on promotional videos, graphics and website updates as the business grows.
