A self-initiated animation imagining a battle between two of cinema's biggest monster-movie icons — hand-drawn, colored and animated frame by frame, then published to YouTube ahead of the official film's release.
Months before the movie confirmed how it would actually go, fans online were already arguing about which titan would win. Rather than just pick a side, we decided to draw it — designing our own take on both creatures from scratch and animating a short fight sequence, entirely as a personal project outside client work.
These creature designs are original illustrations inspired by well-known monster-movie characters. This is unofficial fan animation made independently by MurFx for practice and portfolio purposes — it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or commissioned by any film studio or rights holder.
Every pose started as line art — clean enough to read the creature's silhouette at a glance — before moving into flat color, shading and the glowing dorsal effect that had to hold up once it was animated.
The second titan needed its own identity — a colder palette, a different silhouette and its own signature effect — so the eventual clash between them felt like two distinct designs meeting, not a recolored copy.
